Our client is a provider of corporate, tax, accounting, business advisory, and administration services.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in tax compliance matters for a diverse portfolio of both international and local clients;
- Prepare and/or review income tax returns and computations;
- Facilitate income tax refund claims and manage shareholder registrations efficiently and accurately;
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs;
- Liaise closely with the Inland Revenue Department on various compliance matters;
- Stay abreast of developments in tax legislation both locally and internationally;
- Offer guidance on indirect taxation and provide comprehensive tax advisory services;
- Handle personal tax compliance matters;
- Issue payroll-related documents such as FS3, FS5, and FS7 forms;
- Respond to tax-related queries from clients and relevant authorities;
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to address and resolve tax-related issues;
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to clients.
Experience
- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Tax compliance and/or tax advisory services, or equivalent experience in a tax role;
- Be in possession or in progress of a University degree in Law or Accountancy or an equivalent qualification;
- Have in-depth knowledge of Tax regulations and procedures;
- Fluency in both English and Maltese languages;
- Any other professional qualification in Tax and experience in other areas of tax compliance will be considered as an asset.
