Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and manage engagements related to technical accounting matters, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance;
- Offer expert guidance and interpretation of accounting standards such as IFRS and GAPSME, along with regulatory requirements, to both clients and internal teams;
- Engage in thorough research and analysis of intricate accounting issues and emerging accounting pronouncements;
- Provide advisory services to clients concerning accounting treatments, financial statement presentation, and disclosure requirements;
- Play an integral role in assisting clients with the preparation and review of financial statements, including the creation of technical accounting memos and position papers;
- Remain abreast of evolving accounting and regulatory issues to identify potential areas for expanding our services;
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing;
- Identify training requirements and facilitate tailored training programs to enhance the technical expertise of the Company.
Experience
- Hold a University degree in Accountancy or ACCA qualification;
- Have extensive knowledge of accounting principles, standards (e.g., IFRS, GAPSME), and regulatory requirements;
- Have demonstrated experience in complex accounting issues and financial reporting matters;
- Be proficiency in accounting software, financial reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
