Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop detailed designs for fire compartmentation systems, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and standards;
  • Design and specify fire doors, fire stopping, and other passive fire protection systems based on project scope and client requirements;
  • Review and interpret M&E drawings to ensure design integration with other technical systems;
  • Collaborate with project management and commercial teams to integrate designs seamlessly into overall project plans;
  • Conduct site surveys to assess the quality, feasibility, and functionality of fire protection systems;
  • Provide technical support to project teams, ensuring design requirements are communicated and executed;
  • Monitor project progress to identify and resolve design issues, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines;
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry regulations, including ISO and LPCB requirements, and align with company standards;
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including design changes, calculations, and approvals;
  • Mentor and train junior team members on fire protection design principles, technologies, and best practices;
  • Lead internal sessions to introduce new fire protection products, technologies, and regulatory updates.

Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field;
  • Minimum of 2 years experience designing fire doors, fire-stopping systems, or passive fire protection solutions;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software, with the ability to interpret complex M&E drawings;
  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations, industry standards, and compliance processes.
