Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Form part of the Management team of the company, so together they can discuss, handle and take decisions regarding the challenges and opportunities facing the business;
  • Overseeing and ensuring the safe receipt, security, storage, retrieval and dispatch of stock;
  • Ensuring that all relevant records are properly kept;
  • Monitoring the quantity of products stored;
  • Carrying out regular physical, random warehouse product checks;
  • Managing, motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce;
  • Maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and related vehicles, machinery and equipment;
  • Ensuring necessary health and safety procedures in the warehouse are in place and are followed;
  • Organize and oversee route planning.

Experience

  • Previous managerial experience in a similar role is a must;
  • Previous experience running warehouse operations.

Personal Skills

  • The ideal candidate must be dependable;
  • The ideal candidate will also be experienced, organised, and hardworking;
  • Must possess excellent speaking and writing skills in English;
  • Fluency in Maltese would be preferred;
  • The ideal candidate will also be able to work out of his/her own initiative, suggest changes and make decisions.
