Our client is a supplier of Office Supplies

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Overseeing daily delivery route/s, pick-ups and ordering of products needed (from local suppliers);
  • Local deliveries, accordingly to delivery date and taking care to fulfill orders according to the calendar on our invoicing system (Responsible of missing items);
  • Co-ordinate Incoming furniture orders, deliveries & installation with clients as scheduled by the sales team;
  • Co-ordinate Incoming orders and deliver to clients as scheduled by the sales team;
  • Liaise with the Shipping Office on any items that need to be ordered or ETA’s for any products so orders can be fulfilled and delivered on time;
  • Managing the collection of goods from port/depot. Using the best option, our own logistics or the freight forwarder;
  • Checking and inspecting goods received and ensuring that quantities tally with those ordered, type and also acceptable quality;
  • Keep inventory current at all times (physical stock tally with quantities on system);
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are properly documented in accordance with standard operating procedures;
  • Introducing innovation in work practices and infrastructure of the stores;
  • Establish and maintaining designated work areas and arrange as needed;
  • Ensure orderly and safe conditions at all times in work areas, trucks, tools, fixtures and equipment. Arrange for repairs/replacements as needed;
  • General premises upkeep and delegation of any maintenance work as necessary;
  • Perform other duties, from time to time, as requested by the nature of the position or as requested by management;
  • Responsible for the weekly and yearly stock take;
  • Selecting space and location for storage, organise and schedule so goods can be placed in designated areas;
  • Picking and packing;
  • Preparing deliveries for drivers;
  • Selling goods over the trade counter and when necessary helping out on the telephone.


  • Be in possession of a Level 4 Qualification in Business Management or a related field;
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset;
  • ECDL qualified;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
