- Lead, supervise, and motivate the team of service technicians, ensuring daily workloads are planned and managed effectively;
- Provide hands-on support during repairs while maintaining high technical and quality standards;
- Monitor workshop performance and individual efficiencies to achieve set KPIs;
- Oversee work allocation to optimise productivity and maximise sold hours;
- Implement quality control measures to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction;
- Manage workshop resources efficiently, including tools, equipment, and facilities;
- Act as the main point of liaison between the workshop and service reception, ensuring clear communication on vehicle progress;
- Uphold workshop standards in line with company policies and requirements;
- Review job cards, assign tasks to technicians, and track job progress through to completion;
- Maintain the company’s image by ensuring exceptional customer service standards;
- Identify training needs and support the continuous development of team members;
- Ensure special tools and equipment are properly maintained and report repair requirements to the Service Manager when needed;
- Foster a positive work environment by motivating staff and encouraging both professional and personal growth.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar workshop leadership or supervisory role;
- Strong technical expertise in vehicle diagnostics and repairs;
- Solid understanding of how quality standards impact customer satisfaction and overall business performance;
- Proficiency in using modern software applications (e.g. MS Office) and Dealer Management Systems (DMS);
- Good knowledge of statutory regulations relating to occupational health and safety, fire prevention, and environmental protection.
