Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the team of service technicians, ensuring daily workloads are planned and managed effectively;
  • Provide hands-on support during repairs while maintaining high technical and quality standards;
  • Monitor workshop performance and individual efficiencies to achieve set KPIs;
  • Oversee work allocation to optimise productivity and maximise sold hours;
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction;
  • Manage workshop resources efficiently, including tools, equipment, and facilities;
  • Act as the main point of liaison between the workshop and service reception, ensuring clear communication on vehicle progress;
  • Uphold workshop standards in line with company policies and requirements;
  • Review job cards, assign tasks to technicians, and track job progress through to completion;
  • Maintain the company’s image by ensuring exceptional customer service standards;
  • Identify training needs and support the continuous development of team members;
  • Ensure special tools and equipment are properly maintained and report repair requirements to the Service Manager when needed;
  • Foster a positive work environment by motivating staff and encouraging both professional and personal growth.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar workshop leadership or supervisory role;
  • Strong technical expertise in vehicle diagnostics and repairs;
  • Solid understanding of how quality standards impact customer satisfaction and overall business performance;
  • Proficiency in using modern software applications (e.g. MS Office) and Dealer Management Systems (DMS);
  • Good knowledge of statutory regulations relating to occupational health and safety, fire prevention, and environmental protection.
