Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare and submit monthly management accounts for assigned companies with accuracy and timeliness;
- File VAT returns and ensure full compliance with statutory and internal financial regulations;
- Review and enhance internal controls, redrafting processes to improve operational efficiency;
- Monitor company costs, including standard cost setups, job/project costing, and feasibility reports for tenders;
- Lead the budgeting process for assigned entities and support strategic cash flow forecasting;
- Process monthly work-in-progress (WIP) calculations aligned with ongoing projects;
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and performance analyses to support data-driven decision-making;
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability;
- Manage and guide the accounts team to meet objectives, ensure compliance, and support personal development.
Experience
- ACCA qualified or in final stages of qualification, or a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Experience within a project-based company is considered a strong asset;
- Proficient in accounting principles, VAT compliance, and job/project costing;
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data visualisation;
- Familiar with ERP and accounting tools (SAGE, ACCESS Dimensions, or similar).
