Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Process invoices and verify financial data to maintain accurate accounts payable records;
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices to maintain smooth financial operations;
  • Reconcile purchase orders with invoices and statements to ensure accuracy;
  • Address and resolve discrepancies or issues with vendors promptly;
  • Assist in preparing invoices and managing customer billing processes;
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and oversee the collection process;
  • Reconcile customer accounts and process refunds efficiently;
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded and discrepancies resolved;
  • Support general ledger maintenance by posting journal entries;
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and contribute to month-end closing activities;
  • Maintain organized financial records and ensure accurate documentation filing;
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and answering inquiries;
  • Assist in preparing financial documents and supporting audits;
  • Review and process employee expense reports accurately and promptly;
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all financial activities;
  • Prepare and review reports, summaries, and financial data for management use;
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts in collaboration with the finance team.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Assistant role or a related position;
  • Proficient in accounting software (Xero preferred) and skilled in MS Office, particularly Excel;
  • Holding relevant certifications, such as AAT, is advantageous.
