Our client is a leading professional services firm.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and client accounts;
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions;
  • Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documentation;
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve invoice discrepancies when required;
  • Support the onboarding of new clients, including setting up ledger accounts and carrying out initial data entry;
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts;
  • Support budget preparation, monitoring, and cost control activities;
  • Monitor cash flow, expenditure, and financial forecasts;
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and complete;
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT and corporate income tax returns;
  • Ensure accounting activities are carried out in line with applicable financial regulations and requirements;
  • Support external audits by preparing and providing the required financial records and documentation;
  • Continue progressing towards the completion of the relevant professional accounting qualification.

Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or approximately halfway through the ACCA qualification;
  • Around 2 years of relevant accounting experience will be considered an asset;
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and relevant financial regulations;
  • Previous experience using Xero will be considered an asset;
  • Good knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
