Our client is a provider of corporate, tax, accounting, business advisory, and administration services.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work closely with the Accounting Manager to maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality accounting services on time;
  • Prepare and review financial reports and statements, ensuring full compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other regulatory standards;
  • Supervise junior accountants by providing training, guidance, and constructive feedback to support their development;
  • Assist with the onboarding of new clients, integrating financial data seamlessly into the firm’s systems;
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closings through reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting;
  • Review bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT submissions prepared by junior staff;
  • Support external audit processes, liaising with auditors and following up on recommendations;
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for client accounts;
  • Help strengthen clients’ internal control processes to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting;
  • Ensure compliance with tax and statutory filing obligations;
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency within the team;
  • Monitor and support the use of accounting systems and tools, ensuring accuracy and data integrity;
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients.

Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; candidates who are ACCA partly qualified, in progress, or fully qualified (including those in the final stages) will be given preference;
  • Have 3 – 4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a corporate services or client-facing environment, including some exposure to mentoring or supervising junior staff;
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting;
  • Hands-on experience with IFRS and GAPSME standards is essential;
  • Proficient in accounting software (such as Xero) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
