Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee daily maintenance activities to ensure works are completed efficiently and according to operational priorities;
- Plan and coordinate internal and outsourced maintenance works, establishing appropriate schedules and timelines;
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programmes to minimise equipment and facility downtime;
- Monitor maintenance activities and completed jobs through the company's maintenance management system;
- Investigate technical and maintenance issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and provide hands-on support to technicians when required;
- Carry out regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and building systems to identify maintenance requirements;
- Monitor and coordinate the maintenance of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and other building systems;
- Supervise contractors and tradespeople carrying out installations, repairs, and maintenance works;
- Support the preparation and management of the maintenance budget and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency;
- Monitor stock levels of maintenance materials and equipment and coordinate purchasing requirements;
- Review purchase orders and invoices relating to maintenance materials and services;
- Ensure outsourced works and purchased materials meet required quality and cost standards;
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable quality and Health & Safety requirements;
- Recruit, train, and supervise maintenance technicians;
- Support the coordination and execution of facility improvement and renovation projects;
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and overall operational efficiency.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance position, with experience within the hospitality industry considered an asset;
- Higher Technical Diploma (HTD) or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical field;
- Familiarity with modern HVAC and ELV systems;
- Electrical Licence A or B will be considered an asset.
