Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead audit assignments end-to-end, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk evaluation, and ongoing client liaison;
  • Manage, coach, and support audit team members, providing regular feedback and contributing to their professional growth.
  • Ensure all audit activities are performed in line with applicable auditing standards (such as ISA, PCAOB, or relevant local requirements) and internal quality assurance policies;
  • Review financial statements, audit opinions, and working papers to confirm accuracy, consistency, and completeness;
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact throughout engagements;
  • Identify and assess audit risks, design appropriate audit responses, and address complex accounting matters, escalating issues where required;
  • Present audit outcomes, findings, and recommendations to clients and senior management in a clear and structured manner;
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and initiatives aimed at expanding service offerings;
  • Remain informed of developments in accounting standards, auditing regulations, and relevant industry trends.

Experience

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification);
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in audit, including a minimum of one to two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity;
  • Strong technical expertise in recognised accounting and reporting frameworks such as IFRS, US GAAP, and UK GAAP;
  • High level of proficiency in audit tools, systems, and the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to plan and execute engagements effectively;
  • Proven ability to manage multiple audit assignments concurrently and meet competing deadlines;
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience in supervising, motivating, and developing audit teams;
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
