Our client is a leading tax, audit and advisory firm.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning stage through to completion;
- Perform and oversee complex audit assignments, including the preparation and review of financial statements;
- Develop and review audit strategies, risk assessments, and detailed audit plans;
- Ensure full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), GAPSME, International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), and applicable regulatory requirements;
- Conduct thorough technical reviews of working papers prior to final review by the Principal;
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients and act as the primary point of contact;
- Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, and team allocation to ensure efficient delivery;
- Identify, assess, and resolve audit risks and technical accounting matters;
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and on-the-job training to audit team members;
- Collaborate with other service lines to ensure integrated and high-quality client service.
Experience
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent);
- In possession of, or currently in the process of obtaining, a CPA warrant and Practising Certificate in Auditing (Malta);
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in audit;
- Strong working knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, and GAPSME.
