Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Advocate for clients before the Maltese Courts and other adjudicating bodies, handling all phases of civil litigation;
  • Prepare a wide range of legal documentation, including sworn applications, replies, submissions, legal opinions, advisory letters, judicial acts, and any other required filings;
  • Carry out legal research, develop case strategies, and provide clients with guidance on their rights, obligations, and potential risks;
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, court personnel, experts, and other relevant parties throughout the process;
  • Oversee allocated case files independently, ensuring all deadlines, formalities, and procedural steps are followed;
  • Attend client meetings, consultations, negotiations, and settlement discussions whenever needed;
  • Support the firm’s ongoing professional development efforts, including contributing to internal knowledge sharing and best-practice initiatives.

Experience

  • Hold a Law degree (M. Adv and LL.D.) with a warrant to practice as an Advocate in Malta;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience litigating civil cases before the Courts of Malta.

Personal Skills

  • Ability to independently manage a caseload and handle matters with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English;
  • Strong legal research skills, analytical reasoning, and attention to detail;
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality legal services;
  • Career-driven and motivated, with a strong dedication to achieving excellent results.
