Our client is a provider of corporate, tax, accounting, business advisory, and administration services.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Draft, review, and provide legal input on internal agreements, including NDAs, service contracts, supplier and client engagements;
- Handle client-facing legal documentation such as shareholder agreements, financing and commercial contracts, and other corporate legal instruments;
- Ensure all legal documents comply with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
- Assist with corporate structuring and restructuring initiatives, as well as internal and client governance matters;
- Deliver strategic legal advice to company leadership and external clients, supporting business objectives while mitigating risk;
- Proactively identify legal and compliance risks and recommend practical solutions;
- Conduct legal research and monitor legislative developments in Malta and other jurisdictions, providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders;
- Create and circulate internal legal updates, guidance documents, and compliance toolkits;
- Support implementation of new legal or regulatory frameworks, especially those related to company law, tax, and AML compliance;
- Provide legal assessments on cross-border transactions, company formations, and M&A activity;
- Liaise with external counsel on complex or jurisdiction-specific legal issues and disputes;
- Maintain and improve legal templates, internal policies, procedures, and official filings;
- Collaborate with other departments to review regulatory submissions and represent the legal function in dealings with authorities;
- Drive continuous improvement in legal, regulatory, and corporate governance processes;
- Offer day-to-day legal support to internal teams and management on a broad range of issues;
- Manage ad hoc legal matters arising in the course of business operations or client engagements.
Experience
- Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent), ideally from the University of Malta;
- Recognised law degree with eligibility or admission to practice law in Malta is preferred;
- At least 8 years of solid experience in corporate and civil law;
- Knowledge of the gaming and/or technology industries is a strong advantage;
- In-depth expertise in contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance;
- Familiarity with data protection laws and intellectual property regulations;
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and other legal or data management tools.

- Strong analytical thinking, negotiation, and communication skills;
- Highly organised and capable of performing under pressure, especially in complex transactions;
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing legal teams or mentoring junior lawyers;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
