Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
  • Contribute to the preparation of management accounts and reports for internal stakeholders;
  • Assist with budget development and monitoring, ensuring alignment with financial goals;
  • Participate in creating financial forecasts and variance analysis to assess business performance;
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations based on performance analysis;
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy;
  • Post journal entries and ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded;
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing procedures to meet deadlines;
  • Oversee the invoicing and payment processing, ensuring timely execution;
  • Reconcile supplier statements and address any queries;
  • Manage customer invoicing, collections, and reconciliations to ensure accurate records;
  • Assist with VAT return preparation and submission in compliance with tax regulations;
  • Ensure adherence to tax regulations and statutory requirements throughout financial operations;
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure smooth processes;
  • Monitor daily cash flow and assist with the preparation of cash flow forecasts and reports;
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategy;
  • Provide in-depth analysis of financial trends and data to inform business direction;
  • Assist in audit preparation, both internal and external, by providing required documentation;
  • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities.

Experience

  • Currently pursuing full qualification in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent accounting certification;
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in accounting or a related field;
  • Proficient in accounting software (Xero preferred) and highly skilled in MS Office, especially Excel;
  • In-depth knowledge of current accounting standards and regulations.
