Our client is a leading company in the hospitality, development and construction sectors.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for development initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall organisational goals;
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of development and construction projects, from initial concept and design through execution, completion, and handover;
  • Lead, guide, and motivate multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance;
  • Ensure full compliance with Maltese building regulations, planning requirements, and health & safety standards;
  • Manage project budgets, financial controls, and cost-efficiency measures across multiple ongoing projects;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities;
  • Identify potential project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery;
  • Champion the use of digital tools and innovative construction methods to enhance quality, productivity, and operational efficiency;
  • Prepare accurate documentation, progress updates, and executive-level reports to support informed decision-making.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field;
  • Warrant to practice as an Engineer (Ing.) or Architect (Perit) in Malta is highly advantageous;
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction and development, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management capacity;
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing large-scale and complex development projects;
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and project management methodologies;
  • Proficient in project management software and digital tools;
  • Familiarity with Maltese construction regulations, planning procedures, and compliance requirements;
  • Willingness and flexibility to work across different project sites in Malta.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities;
  • Sound financial skills, with experience managing project budgets effectively;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while meeting strict deadlines.
