Company Introduction

Our client is a leading importer/distributor to Hospitals and Pharmacies.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Liaise with Banking entities in regard to funds, tenders and proposals;
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to efficiently allocate resources for various organizational tasks such as bookkeeping, invoice control, customer billing, inventory management, and bank transactions;
  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Director to assess a spectrum of business prospects across the group, encompassing pricing strategies for significant transactions, potential investments, mergers, financing options, and strategic decisions;
  • Partner with the Managing Director to effectively manage banking relationships, including compiling financial data for bank proposals, fostering communication with bank managers, and proactively addressing the Group's cash flow and working capital needs;
  • Prepare the monthly management accounts including the necessary reconciliation statements, accruals, prepayments, and so on;
  • Gain a detailed understanding of all the operational and commercial aspects of the business and be able to interpret the financial results and relate them to management’s expectations, identifying areas of concern and investigating exceptions at source;
  • Utilize the company’s financial reporting systems and Business Intelligence reports and use these tools to drill down into the necessary level of detail to explain the numbers in a clear and concise manner;
  • Create and present the monthly management pack to senior management.
  • Manage monthly payroll processing and fulfill related obligations with regulatory authorities;
  • Handle VAT, income tax returns, and oversee tax payments and refunds;
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual financial statements and collaborate with auditors during the audit process;
  • Monitor accounts payable, stocks, and debtors to optimize cash flows and working capital;
  • Develop and maintain an annual budget, with necessary reforecasts to adapt to changing circumstances;
  • Ensure seamless preparation and timely delivery of financial information for diverse entities within the Group;
  • Address any additional financial requirements pertinent to the Group's operations as they arise.

Experience

  • Possess a university degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification;
  • Proven experience in a similar role;
  • Showcase excellent proficiency in the MS Office package, with particular emphasis on advanced Excel skills.
