Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure effective planning and organization of work, maintaining the portfolio of client entities in good standing with relevant authorities;
  • Keep client compliance folders up-to-date;
  • Support the onboarding process for new clients;
  • Assist in the incorporation, maintenance, and/or dissolution of companies;
  • Aid in the preparation of annual returns and statutory submissions for companies;
  • Manage contractual and licensing requirements as needed;
  • Provide support during the gaming licensing process for MGA licenses;
  • Collaborate closely with the financial account management team to meet client expectations;
  • Develop strong relationships with authorities, auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, notaries, and other external parties;
  • Attend and participate in client meetings, both on-site and off-site;
  • Stay informed of legal and fiscal developments, anticipating changes in legislation and identifying related business opportunities;
  • Assist clients with corporate matters such as share transfers, bank account applications, and the submission of documents to authorities, as well as support with work permits;
  • Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet business requirements.

Experience

  • Possess a relevant legal qualification;
  • Be a warranted lawyer;
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a related role;
  • Strong understanding of a company as a legal entity, the Companies Act, and its key requirements;
  • Knowledge of the duties of directors and company secretaries, and how a Corporate Service Provider (CSP) can assist clients in maintaining good corporate governance practices;
  • Familiarity with the workings of the Malta Business Registry, banks, the International Tax Unit, and the VAT Department;
  • A solid understanding of KYC and Compliance requirements.

  • Meticulous in ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations;
  • Clear and effective in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to liaise with clients and authorities professionally;
  • Capable of addressing and resolving issues promptly and effectively;
  • Willingness to work closely with colleagues to achieve common goals;
  • Initiative in anticipating client needs and industry changes.
