Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Interpret and follow technical drawings and blueprints to manufacture components accurately;
- Operate lathe, milling, and other workshop machinery to machine metal parts;
- Carry out welding of steel and stainless-steel components to the required specifications;
- Assemble, disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical parts and equipment;
- Measure, manufacture, and prepare rubber and PVC belts in accordance with production requirements;
- Operate power tools and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently;
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met;
- Maintain tools, machinery, and the workshop in a clean, safe, and organised condition;
- Adhere to company health and safety procedures and manufacturing standards at all times;
- Assist with other production and workshop duties as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, mechanical, or workshop environment;
- Experience operating workshop machinery, including lathe and milling machines, will be considered an asset;
- Experience in welding, machining, mechanical repairs, or the manufacture of rubber and PVC belts will be considered an asset;
- Basic computer literacy;
- Valid Category B driving licence;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
