Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 QA Engineers through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning;
- Define and implement the overall QA strategy across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms;
- Drive risk-based test planning, automation strategy, and release readiness;
- Standardise QA processes including test plans, bug triage, quality gates, and coverage reporting;
- Oversee and coordinate release testing efforts to ensure high-quality deliverables;
- Partner with Engineering Leads on sprint planning and delivery coordination;
- Work closely with Product Managers on acceptance criteria and feature readiness;
- Represent QA in cross-functional initiatives, advocating for quality standards and continuous improvement;
- Build and foster a collaborative QA culture that balances delivery speed with quality.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years in a QA leadership or management role;
- Have at least 5 years of experience as a Senior QA Engineer with a strong technical background;
- Proven experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks;
- Solid understanding of backend testing (APIs, Java), frontend testing (web applications), and mobile testing (iOS/Android);
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration (GitHub Actions preferred);
- Previous experience in fintech, regulated industries, or high-growth startups is considered an asset.
