Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Risk Appetite metrics, escalating breaches and irregularities where necessary;
  • Support ICAAP and ILAAP processes, including data preparation, analysis, reporting, and documentation;
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and internal committees;
  • Analyse risk-related data and contribute to the development and enhancement of internal risk reporting processes;
  • Support Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) calculations and regulatory ratio monitoring;
  • Assist with IRRBB processes, capital forecasting, and liquidity projection activities;
  • Maintain risk data repositories and support data integrity, automation, and reporting improvement initiatives;
  • Support Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations and maintain records related to forborne exposures;
  • Maintain and update operational risk registers and incident reporting dashboards;
  • Assist with internal audits, regulatory reviews, and requests for documentation or risk-related information;
  • Review and update risk policies, procedures, and internal documentation in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field;
  • Previous experience within financial services, preferably within a banking or risk management environment;
  • Working knowledge of ICAAP, ILAAP, and banking regulatory frameworks will be considered an asset;
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications;
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI will be considered an advantage;
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Maltese will be considered an asset.
