Our client operates within the automotive and vehicle servicing industry.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair works are carried out efficiently and to high operational standards;
  • Support, guide, and coordinate technicians working on commercial vehicles, and fleet-related mechanical repairs;
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, fault finding, and troubleshooting on mechanical and vehicle-related issues;
  • Manage workshop workflow, task allocation, and operational priorities to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance schedules;
  • Support the ongoing development and growth of workshop operations through effective leadership and operational coordination;
  • Ensure workshop procedures, safety regulations, and operational standards are consistently maintained;
  • Assist with improving workshop efficiency, productivity, and service quality through practical operational improvements;
  • Liaise with management regarding workshop operations, fleet maintenance requirements, and technical matters;
  • Support and mentor technicians within the workshop environment, promoting strong teamwork and technical standards;
  • Maintain accurate records related to servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and workshop activities.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a vehicle mechanical workshop, transport, or fleet maintenance environment;
  • Strong hands-on experience working on buses, vans, commercial vehicles, or large fleet vehicles;
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fault-finding experience is essential;
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or workshop coordination experience is required;
  • Experience managing workshop operations, technician workflow, and maintenance schedules;
  • Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Fluency in English is required; Maltese will be considered an asset.
