With the growth of Malta’s economy being one of the strongest and most vibrant in Europe, Friday 1st June saw Malta host its first ever Business-to-Business (B2B) Conference & Expo organised by the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses. The event was held at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali with the aim of creating an environment of collaboration and cooperation for local business leaders and start-ups in all industries alike.
As a start-up and recruitment agency offering local businesses HR and employment services in Malta for industries ranging from gaming & finance, legal & compliance, retail & hospitality, pharmaceuticals & manufacturing and soon the yachting industry to name a few, we are proud to have attended this Milestone for Malta’s business community.
The event gave us far more than an opportunity to take part in the pursuit of economic prosperity in Malta, but also leverage a platform for us to network, build new relationships and most importantly; listen to what business owners and employees have to say about the current employment market, it’s challenges & opportunities and how we can enhance our services. The Conference Agenda also offered a jam-packed day of Top International Speakers, a Panel of Local Experts and a series of inspiring Masterclasses designed to provide valuable insights to all exhibitors and delegates, which we were more than happy to take advantage of.
The B2B Conference Agenda: A learning experience for career progression
The day kicked off with a Welcome Speech by the Hon. Dr Chris Cardona, Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Businesses followed by Keynote’s from Sir Clive Woodward, Jason Miller, Sahar Hashemi and Chris Moss which we all took advantage of attending throughout the day. These were not only a great opportunity to hear about their fulfilling and rewarding careers, but also gain insight into what it takes to be successful in the international business community and more importantly for us, Malta’s ever-growing and highly competitive economy.

Keynote: Talent Alone is Not Enough
Having co-founded this company and played rugby myself, it was an absolute pleasure to have had the opportunity to listen to Sir Clive Woodward, the World Cup winning Head Coach of England’s Rugby team in 2003 and coach & mentor for executives in the business world, give his keynote on the “DNA of a Champion”. He shared his experience as Head Coach of England and how he and each individual in the team took England from being ranked 6th in the world to the number one team, winning every trophy the English national rugby team could win, leaving us with many points to take home an reflect on.
