Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and execute the Company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals;
  • Deliver strategic financial guidance to support Board decisions, investment planning, and long-term priorities;
  • Lead comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis;
  • Establish and monitor financial KPIs to ensure alignment with corporate objectives;
  • Oversee all accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and compliance functions;
  • Maintain strong internal controls, ensure audit preparedness, and uphold international financial standards;
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and project financing requirements;
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure advantageous funding and support business expansion;
  • Partner with operational teams on project costing, contract reviews, and profitability assessments;
  • Provide financial and commercial input during tenders, bids, and contract negotiations;
  • Promote cost efficiency, strengthen financial discipline, and ensure effective risk management;
  • Lead, guide, and develop finance teams across the organisation’s subsidiaries;
  • Improve financial systems, processes, and capabilities to support project-driven operations;
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous performance improvement.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ senior financial leadership experience in the construction or M&E sectors, ideally as CFO or Head of Finance;
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent;
  • Proven expertise in cash flow management, project finance, and risk management;
  • Experience managing multi-entity, multi-country structures;
  • Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, or business integration is highly desirable;
  • Strong commercial acumen with deep insight into project-based industries.

Personal Skills

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at Board level;
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modelling, capital structuring, and project financing;
  • Ability to drive digital transformation within finance, including ERP, BI tools, and automation;
  • High levels of integrity, resilience, and adaptability in complex, fast-changing environments.
