Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory frameworks;
  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial reports to senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting performance trends and strategic implications;
  • Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives, and monitor actual performance against budgeted targets;
  • Implement and maintain strong internal control systems to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting;
  • Coordinate the preparation of audit materials and liaise with external auditors to support smooth and compliant audit processes. Assist with internal audits as needed and follow through on implementation of audit recommendations;
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to support long-term planning and decision-making across the organisation;
  • Act as the primary contact for investors and analysts, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communication regarding the company’s financial performance and strategic plans. This includes preparing for and participating in annual general meetings and investor briefings;
  • Build and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders, such as government entities, institutional investors, lenders, and financial analysts. Prepare reports, presentations, and other communication materials to support these interactions;
  • Offer financial expertise and input to internal committees and working groups, including the ESG Committee, Project Monitoring, and Procurement functions, contributing to informed and sustainable business decisions.

Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, or an ACCA qualification;
  • A Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) in a relevant field is considered an asset;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance management role as a fully qualified professional;
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and risk management practices;
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements;
  • Proficient in accounting software with strong administrative capabilities.
