Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organisation’s objectives;
  • Provide guidance to senior management on workforce planning, organisational development, and employee-related matters;
  • Manage the full recruitment and selection process, including vacancy preparation, candidate selection, onboarding, and probation;
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns;
  • Support managers with performance management processes, including setting KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and addressing performance-related matters;
  • Identify training and development requirements and coordinate internal and external learning initiatives;
  • Oversee payroll coordination, employee benefits administration, salary benchmarking, and compensation-related activities;
  • Develop, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable employment legislation and regulatory requirements;
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation;
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide recommendations to improve HR processes and organisational effectiveness;
  • Support change management initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices;
  • Coordinate HR-related audits and inspections and ensure the required documentation is maintained;
  • Promote employee wellbeing initiatives and support health and safety requirements within the workplace;
  • Monitor employee absence and sick leave, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed;
  • Maintain and support the requirements associated with the organisation’s Equality Mark Certification.

Experience

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a senior HR role;
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR practices, and employee relations;
  • Experience across recruitment, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR administration;
  • Good understanding of HR policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and record management;
  • Excellent command of English and Maltese, both written and spoken.
