Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records, including general ledger postings;
• Support month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting;
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheet items, and intercompany balances;
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and provisions in line with reporting requirements;
• Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and internal management reports;
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis;
• Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal accounting policies;
• Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries;
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and timely processing;
• Identify, investigate, and assist in resolving accounting variances and discrepancies;
• Participate in process optimisation and accounting system improvement initiatives.

Experience

• Have 2-4 years of relevant experience in an accounting role;
• Actively pursuing, or willing to pursue, a professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CIMA;
• Sound working knowledge of applicable accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAP;
• Hands-on experience using accounting systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
