Company Introduction
Our client is a leading company of domestic appliances.Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry, invoice processing, and updating financial records;
- Maintain accurate records across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries;
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients to ensure timely collection of payments;
- Issue invoices, receipts, and client statements, and handle payment processing;
- Perform daily cash count procedures and prepare related reports;
- Liaise with banks to obtain statements and support account reconciliations;
- Support credit control activities by chasing overdue balances and maintaining records of communication;
- Handle client queries in a professional and timely manner;
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting;
- Support the preparation of financial reports as required by management;
- Maintain organised financial documentation and assist with audits and internal controls;
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures;
- Support internal projects and perform additional duties as required within the department.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting, finance, or credit control role;
- Experience working within a Maltese company environment will be considered an asset;
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and local compliance requirements;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word;
- Experience with accounting software, including Shireburn, will be considered an advantage;
- Fluency in English is required; Maltese will be considered a strong asset.
