Company Introduction

Our client is a leading company of domestic appliances.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry, invoice processing, and updating financial records;
  • Maintain accurate records across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries;
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients to ensure timely collection of payments;
  • Issue invoices, receipts, and client statements, and handle payment processing;
  • Perform daily cash count procedures and prepare related reports;
  • Liaise with banks to obtain statements and support account reconciliations;
  • Support credit control activities by chasing overdue balances and maintaining records of communication;
  • Handle client queries in a professional and timely manner;
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting;
  • Support the preparation of financial reports as required by management;
  • Maintain organised financial documentation and assist with audits and internal controls;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures;
  • Support internal projects and perform additional duties as required within the department.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting, finance, or credit control role;
  • Experience working within a Maltese company environment will be considered an asset;
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and local compliance requirements;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word;
  • Experience with accounting software, including Shireburn, will be considered an advantage;
  • Fluency in English is required; Maltese will be considered a strong asset.
