Company Introduction

Our client is an established business law firm that provides services to local and international clients

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage the accounting team and credit control of the group and ensures adherence to the group’s policies and procedures and internal controls;
  • Maintain accounting controls and updates accounting policies and procedures as necessary;
  • Reply to queries arising by members of the team;
  • Monitor of asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information;
  • Oversee the recording of prepayments and accruals;
  • Ensure that financial information is accurate, complete and timely;
  • Cash management for the day to day running of the group;
  • Make recommendations regarding financial actions by analysing accounting options;
  • Prepare management accounts and related reports;
  • Prepare of budgeting;
  • Ensure financial transactions are substantiated through adequate verification documents;
  • Maintain financial security by following internal control procedures;
  • Answer to accounting procedural questions;
  • Compile with local financial, legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Communicate with Government departments and local authorities when deemed necessary;
  • Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential;
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
  • Assists in other accounting and related administrative tasks as deemed necessary.

Experience 

  • Possess at least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Internationally recognised professional accounting qualification: University degree, ACCA or ACA.

Personal Skills 

  • Strong communication skills – both written and spoken in English;
  • Knowledge of SAGE accounting software;
  • Knowledge of payroll processing functions and procedures;
  • Able to work on own initiative;
  • Good teamwork practice;
  • Must be organised.
