Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Source and establish connections with investors, property owners, developers, project managers, and architects for construction contracts;
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of clients, project managers, developers, architects, investors, and other stakeholders;
  • Develop relationships with banks and financing entities in Malta to enhance business opportunities;
  • Assist in preparing feasibility studies and business plans for potential and ongoing projects;
  • Identify and monitor tenders for both public and private construction projects;
  • Coordinate and manage participation in tenders for various construction projects;
  • Oversee high-level project supervision and contract management, working closely with on-site engineers and quantity surveyors;
  • Manage the coordination of the engineering team to ensure smooth project execution;
  • Serve as the primary representative for the contractor, communicating with clients, project managers, and architects to ensure project goals are met;
  • Maintain a detailed database of clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders involved in construction projects;
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day business development activities for the company’s Malta branch;
  • Provide monthly progress reports to senior management on business development activities and project statuses;
  • Draft and authorize company monthly payments, ensuring timely processing;
  • Create and monitor operational expenses for the Malta branch;
  • Supervise company personnel and ensure a productive and efficient working environment;
  • Liaise with and represent the company in meetings with public authorities.

Experience

  • University degree in a technical field, with experience in the construction industry highly valued;
  • Proven experience in business development, especially within the construction sector;
  • Familiarity with managing tendering processes for construction projects.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively;
  • Initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with relevant software tools;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
