Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) checks, ensuring client information is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements;
  • Review and verify client documentation as part of the onboarding and due diligence process;
  • Identify and verify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs), authorised signatories, controllers, and related parties, including complex ownership structures;
  • Perform sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), and adverse media screenings, documenting findings and escalating potential matches where necessary;
  • Monitor client relationships through periodic reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements;
  • Detect unusual or suspicious activity during onboarding and ongoing monitoring, escalating concerns to the Manager as required;
  • Assist in the preparation of internal compliance reports and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs/SARs), where appropriate;
  • Liaise with clients to obtain documentation, declarations, and additional information required to complete compliance reviews;
  • Maintain accurate, organised, and up-to-date compliance records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements;
  • Support the Manager with day-to-day compliance activities and other related tasks as required;
  • Stay informed of changes to AML/CFT legislation, GDPR, and other applicable regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance;
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and compliance standards while contributing to the continuous improvement of compliance processes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a Compliance, Legal, Financial Services, or a similar regulated environment will be considered an asset;
  • Good understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) requirements;
  • Experience conducting client due diligence, sanctions screening, PEP screening, and adverse media checks will be considered an asset;
  • Any compliance-related qualification or professional certification will be considered an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
