Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Carry out advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs on commercial vehicles, and fleet-related vehicles;
- Identify and resolve complex mechanical and technical faults efficiently and accurately;
- Support the day-to-day workshop operations by ensuring repair and maintenance work is completed to high standards;
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repair works in line with operational and safety requirements;
- Assist junior technicians where required by providing technical support and guidance on complex repairs;
- Ensure all servicing, repair, and maintenance activities are completed within agreed timelines;
- Maintain accurate records relating to diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and technical findings;
- Ensure workshop procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently followed;
- Liaise with workshop management regarding technical issues, vehicle conditions, and operational requirements;
- Contribute to maintaining an organised, efficient, and productive workshop environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a vehicle mechanical workshop, transport, or fleet maintenance environment;
- Strong hands-on experience working on commercial vehicles, or large fleet vehicles;
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fault-finding experience is essential;
- Experience with vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance procedures;
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience will be considered an asset;
- Fluency in English is required; Maltese will be considered an asset.
